Toyota Celica Rear Windows

It's funny how things come in batches...Buses, policemen...and Toyota Celica's requiring rear window repairs!  For once, we can't blame the weather either. But there does seem to be a rather spooky number of similar aged Celica's coming into our workshop currently for rear windows which have either fallen out of their bonded position or plastic windows which have cracked.

The good news, if there is any, is that these windows are realtively cheap and easy to replace, and the hood comes in two pieces, unlike many car hoods, meaning just the rear section can be replaced.

The worst affected models seems to be the glass rear window models, whereby the glass rear window, er...falls out!  To be fair, these models are at least 10 years old now, and the glass does add significant weight to the back of what would by now, be an aged hood.

The cure is easy though. If the front section is in decent enough condition, just replace the rear. Cost would be around £150-£200 for the fitting plus cost of the part/section, price dependent on year and model.
